How to Turn Taskbar Completely Transparent on Windows 10

You can turn Windows 10 taskbar totally transparent with the help of a new tool that makes it look 100 percent blurry. Taskbar customization options on Windows 10 allow you to make it appear just the way you want. Transparent taskbar gives a much cleaner look to the desktop. But you should note that setting taskbar as transparent doesn’t make it completely disappear if you use default Windows 10 option.

Here’s a step-by-step guide using which you will be able to set invisible taskbar on Windows 10 desktop PC, laptop or tablet.

Before starting a word of warning that since we are dealing with a third-party app here, although it has worked perfect on testing, but on some devices chances of errors can’t be completely ruled out. So, follow the instructions below at your own discretion.

1 – Download TranslucentTB.

2 – It will be in zip file format which you need to unzip using any file extraction software. Save the content of zip file on to your preferred location on computer.

3 – Now, click the TranslucentTB.exe file and click on Create shortcut.

4 – Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command dialogue box.

5 – Type shell:shartup and hit OK button.

6 – Next, move the shortcut to the startup folder to make the tool automatically start whenever you sign in to Windows 10 with your Microsoft account.

7 – Then, double-click the shortcut icon to launch TranslucentTB to finish the process.

8 – All done.

From now onward TranslucentTB will automatically launch every time you log in to your Windows 10 with the default Blur option. However, to turn the taskbar transparent, right-click the tool’s icon in the notification area and click the Clear option.

Do note that TranslucentTB tool doesn’t turn Cortana look clear. But you can right-click the taskbar, select Cortana, and choose from only show an icon or hide Cortana altogether. Moreover, some antivirus tools could consider it a malware and block it. If that happens, avoid using the tool.
